To exist fully. To take up space. To be seen, together.
Album A: A Seat at the Table — Solange (2016)
Album B: Untitled (Black Is) — Sault (2020)
A Seat at the Table is patient, deliberate, and quietly devastating. Solange made a record about what it costs to move through the world as a Black woman — the exhaustion, the dignity, the refusal to disappear.
Sault’s Untitled (Black Is) arrived in 2020, anonymous and urgent, shaped by the same weight and a different moment. Where Solange is interior, Sault is collective.
Together they form something larger than either album alone: a conversation about identity, community, and the right to take up space without explanation.
This evening has a particular resonance here. We are in Croydon.
Live Performance: between the albums a liver performance set - reimagined works from the artists' catalogues, played acoustic for the room.
What to expect: Two albums played in full. No skipping. No shuffling. A live performance in between.
